The nonprofit will now be able to operate the Airport Inn as multi-family housing, offer on-site social services that benefit residents of the facility, and accept housing vouchers. The removal of this property from this influence zone allows the current building, the Airport Inn, to operate as an extended-stay hotel. While hotels and motels are allowed within this zone, residential use (stays greater than 30 days) is not. The purpose of this influence zone is to prohibit residential uses in areas near the airport exposed to high levels of noise.
